Sorry, I misread your comment. The graphics card is really not important. I would play the odd game but nothing that would demand the graphics card. The VM itself is a network emulator, the more devices you add the more RAM is required. I will build out big labs so the RAM will easily stack up...

Hardware accelerated graphics work be fine. Only 1 or 2 VM's. Each would VM would probably need 48Gb RAM minimum - so the 64Gb RAM is to future proof it.
