Recoil is lighter but I don't find the Proteus heavy by any means, its roughly the same as my outgoing gaming laptop so I don't notice a difference.
The thermal performance is somewhat hampered by the CPU running hot, but the 8750H is renowned for it. A mild overclock on mine dropped temps...
A mild undervolt on my Proteus VI dropped the CPU temps down from 95-98 to 76-78 whilst helping boost clocks too. The chassis isn't what I'd call fat but it is thicker than a recoil for example. The fans perform well though to exhaust the hot air out of the back of the laptop.
The screen does not support G-Sync.
As for temps, as with most laptops running the 8750H CPU, they can get a little high. Mine were 95-98 before a mild undervolt and now they're at 76-78 on full load. Having quanta control center installed better manages the fan profiles too so that helps :)...

The thermal issue is the cpu, most laptops with the 8750H have problems when It comes to cooling it. A mild undervolt has solved the issue now though, temps peaking around 76-80 under load which...
