I guess!!! unfortunately, I'm not too computer Technical. I had to act quickly as my wife who works for the NHS had to work at home, and I was having problems with it, and couldn't afford a brand new one. I guess I got impatient. :rolleyes:

Strangely enough, my previous PC was from PCSecialist 9 years ago but played up so much in the last 6 months that I decided to get the Dell.

i have a refurbished Dell Optiplex 790 which I purchased from Amazon a short while ago. And as of yesterday, I have no sound?:oops:. It was fine before that. Can anyone advise me, please?

Sorry for posting again. I just wanted to thank Huntsman for putting me onto Toms hardware Forum. I have managed to sort it now Huntsman, thank you for the heads up. The post is locked so I couldn't reply, and I thought I needed to.:)

I've added another monitor to my Dell Optiplex 970 so my wife can work from home. As this refurbished Desktop only had 1 VGA port in the onboard graphics, the options were to get a Graphics card or go with this cable...

Great replies guys, Thank you. I don't think I'll have any problem with slowing due to full HDD's As said, the O/S plus editing software is on my 240GB SSD and the Data is spread amongst the others. I use cloud storage for my Photos, of which I have loads. Do you think the future will be cloud...

OK thanks, that's reassuring(y). I used to use a paid-for defragger years ago, but happy to let windows do it. I guess I have to set it up.... Right?

Thanks for the post. So O&O Defrag will do SSD's then? I thought it was best not to?

I have a 240GB SSD for the O/S etc and one 500GB HHD on board the desktop Pluss two 1TB portable HHD's. I believe windows 10 auto defrags. Is that correct? If so, does it auto recognise the SSD and bypass it? Sorry if too many questions :D

Rather than start a new thread... In a similar vein.......... I have a few tabs open in chrome, but can't get them to reduce to favicon size? I right-clicked on the tab, but there isn't a "pin tab" in the pane just "Pin" and that doesn't work, unfortunately. Good job I'm at home all day to try...
