Good evening all.
I've a x570 AUS Tuf motherboard and currently rocking 16GB 3600mhz RAM made up of x2 8GB sticks.
- I have bought some more, another x2 8GB, and so far I've been unable to get a stable PC. I.e it often BSOD.
Any tips I can try?
Turned out. Super easy!
Downloaded some free Clone software
1. Put the new NVMe in the spare slot on the motherboard
2. Used the clone software to ‘clone the data /boot drive from the existing 3.0 NVMe to to new 4.0 NVMe
3. Swapped them around so the new ‘faster’ NVMe is next to the CPU

The drive arrived today - It can set in the wrapper until I have half a day spare I think….
I was thinking as suggested.
Back up - Can’t think I have too much, as most photos and the like are on OneDrive.
Take out the Samsung
Install the WD 850x
Install windows on the 850x
Put the Samsung...

Hey :-)
So, I've a X570 motherboard with x1 PCIe 3.0 1tb SSD installed (Samsung)
Having recently bought Red Dead 2 with it's huge install size, it's encouraged me to get another NVMe drive....
Knowing the X57 motherboard will support x2 PCIe 4.0 SSD's - I bought a 1tb WD Black SN850 with...
Hi
So, I've changed my CPU (3600x to 5600x)
There is a new Win11 update that has appeared in my settings. I've downloaded the update, gone to install
However, the I can't install as I do not have TPM enabled - I assume it reverted back when I swapped the CPU?
So, into the BIOS I go. Turn TPM...
So. Took your advice
Upgraded from a 3600x to a 5600x
Didn’t make much difference as it turned out
So. Bought a 3080 ;-)
Ray Tracing - bells and whistles - 1440p - Winner :-)
Changed the 3600x to a 5600x
And...from a TimeSpy perspective at least. Not much change

Begs the 64 thousand dollar question
Would I gain more from upgrading from a 3600x to a 5600x and keeping the 3070
Or. Upgrading from a 3070 to a 3080 and keeping the 3600x
Just started again today! Playing without RT and it 'more or less sticks to 60fps'
I assumed a mighty 3080 upgrade from the 3070 would liberate some RT goodness at a steady 60fps with quality dlss.
I'm surprised that the 3600x CPU is holding me back. Be cheaper to upgrade to the 5600x mind!
