I currently have the ASUS PB278Q which is 2560 x 1440 60Hz. I could potentially try and overclock my monitor to get a higher refresh rate. I kind of like the idea of buying what would be the most expensive component (GPU) and getting some benefit from it now, then, when I have the money...
I've read up on the very basics of overclocking. As far as i was aware the CPU usually only boosts for a short duration to help with CPU intensive tasks. When i run Prime95, surely the CPU shouldnt be boosting all the time?
Even so, like i said earlier i seem to be getting 4.18GHz.

I currently have an old(ish) TV that doesnt have a USB port on it so i cant plug in my external HDD to watch music/pictures. Does anyone know of anything that i can plug into, say, my HDMI port and then plug a external HDD into that instead? maybe it's externally powered?

Look's like I'm buying the Mrs a laptop for xmas and was after a little help with configuring one.
For a bit of information, it's mainly to play WoW and the Sims...however, she is really into the Dragon Age series and is looking forward to Dragon Age 3 so she would like to be able to play it...
I wanted to take some screen shots of certain games i was playing to use as desktop background but when i tried to paste them into paint all that appeared was just a giant black square...nothing else.
Anybody have any idea why this is happening? Should i be using something other than paint or...
