Hello all, my new PC is finally all set up. I'd like to thank everyone who made the long wait more bearable.
For that I've made sure to showcase the Build with a theme I think at least 1 other person may enjoy.
My PC is Poyo Ready.
The Kirbo's on top are there for me to blindly slide my phone...
Be not sad for me. My wallet may hurt, but I do a lot of Artistic stuff, and have 3D and Video endeavours that the 3090 will aid me with substantially. If anything the 3090 may guilt me into focusing on it more.
This quoted the wrong post.
I went for an i910850.
I was weary that AMD being the more powerful CPU out there will be in high demand. and the 10900 is under "Pre-order".
Ordered on the 13th
Pre-prod 7 days later on the 20th
Build date 08th of this month.
46 working days total.
Changed to 3090 on the 2nd (02-01-21)
Essentially 5 working days after switching to a 3090
And 10 working days in testing.
My order is finally dispatched... I'm sorry my ex-3080 brothers. It was too much of a wait and I had to switch to a 3090 a few weeks ago. Hopfully with fewer of us on the 3080 spec you will see builds sooner than later.
In my case, I received an email that my PCI-E devices bandwidth was too little and I had to remove a PCI device. I nuked them and got a refund for the parts I removed. But after the confirmation of the removal I am now waiting. But "in testing" is a lot better looking than "Pre-processing." But...
I changed my order quite a bit to speed things along, but evidently not enough, as when it went into testing =/ it ran into problems. I think I've corrected those problems, but I'm concerned that means it's been sent to the back of the testing queue as I've not heard back in a few days. But it's...
So, now that we've seen some extremely powerful Laptops coming up from CES, I hope OP did decide to wait. Some of the laptops shown are looking quite good.
Look, I realise I'm coming off as quite combative, but you can find GTX1080 4k 60fps gaming without this poor "enjoyable level" you mention. That's all I'm really trying to say. Admittedly I wasn't entirely considering 4k initially, as Performance is King for me and 4k fidelity isn't something...
Except that above video says the direct opposite of that.
Also ignores what Consoles do to Output to at "4k" A PS5 is the equivalent of 5 year old or so PC hardware. And that includes 4k. E.G. Raytracing on the PS5 alone drops games like Miles Morales straight down to 30 fps and below on the...
I think you're over-selling Consoles power here. There is nothing that really screams "Power house" when compared to PC's when it comes to consoles.
Note the GPU is a GTX 1060.
here's the review in full so you can decide for yourself the equivalency between a PC and a PS5.
But as I said, you...
