Nobody does it because they think they’re superhuman. It’s not about reaction times and I don’t care about aim assist, I played without it for years. It’s obvious to me that you’ve never played cod. Fluidity is important, motion fidelity is important and a OLED is perfect for the dark room I...

You’re thinking of the top 0.05% of players there, probably less. Can I get your thoughts on the GPU requirement?

I’m playing call of duty mostly and everything I’ve read tells me the 360Hz is the best, despite probably being overkill at this point in time in terms of what my GPU can produce. I know 1440p 160Hz is fine for most people, but I want a monitor that is competitive as currently im in the top 1%...

For better or worse I’ve ordered a 360hz Alienware. Read a lot of really good reviews. I’m going to run with what I have, play call of duty with medium settings and eventually buy a better graphics card and CPU.

Bummer. I might just have to take that extra cost on the chin, doesn’t sound like I have another choice other than to wait.

@SpyderTracks I see you recommended the Alienware 27 Gaming Monitor - AW2723DF in a different post, would you recommend that for my build too?

I see, what can I use as a like for like instead of the 7800X3D?

It’s the same as he recommended but with the 7900 because he said the 7800 isn’t available. Roger that. Thanks again, really appreciated.

Ok thanks. The last build I posted, this will net me high performance for multiplayer games (fps, etc) and good quality graphics for single player games (also good frames)?

Ignore that, sorry. I have just posted another build, taking all your feedback into consideration and I think the link is posted correctly at the bottom on that one. For the sake of argument, if I was to let’s say win a 360hz Alienware monitor in a competition and plug it into that setup…...

So after taking your advice, and the build from @FigmentOfYourImagination, I could opt for this: Case CORSAIR 5000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE Processor (CPU) AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D 12 Core CPU (4.4GHz-5.6GHz/140MB w/3D V-CACHE/AM5) Motherboard ASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (AM5...

I understand your point. I’ve been playing Xbox for so long, I can’t complain about my current monitor for the series X but it sounds like I definitely need a 1440p, just not crazy hertz. I will do some homework on the ideal one and drop my spec so that it’s not overkill. How about a 1440p...

Interesting, thank you. Should I still upgrade to 1440p at least? I’ve always heard it’s noticeably better than 1080p. I just want to make sure I have a fast refresh rate (not inhumanly fast) to make sure I’m still competitive playing Call Of Duty, high frames etc, and I want the graphics to be...

Thank you, that is very helpful! I’ll probably drop the graphics card down to the 4070 super and I’ll take on board the rest of your suggestions. I have my eye on the Alienware AW2725DF, which is 1440p and also 340hz refresh rate. Bearing in mind the refresh rate, will your above recommendations...
