Just to update. PCS sent me a new bluetooth module when I messaged them (not through the RMA process). Fitted it over the weekend and so far seems to have cured the problem.
That's what I'm thinking, it being a dud. I've sent PCS a msg via the site as I don't have the time this week to sit on the phone getting through to support.
I'm not having any trouble connecting devices via Bluetooth when bluetooth is available for me to connect. I simply don't have the bluetooth function in my settings or devices most of the time. Sometimes it comes back when I reboot but that only works occasionally. My mouse is via 2.4ghz...
I've found the bluetooth module to be really flaky in the Nova. It's an intel unit. It randomly appears or disappears in settings within the notifcation bar.
I've opened the laptop up and reseated the module but it's still the same.
I've uninstalled and re-installed with latest drivers...
I've also had various external USB HDD, DVD-writer and a non bus powered BD-writer drive hooked up to the USB ports directly and via hubs both USB 3.0 and USB C ones. Only had an issue with one hub but that was with the hub itself other wise problem free. Am currently porting 400gb of data...

If you're happy with the laptop performance as is and you don't need portability maybe just buy and external monitor and keyboard and carry on using it till it dies? Certainly much cheaper than a new laptop.
