PCSPECIALIST Switch 3080 to 3090 for a faster build?

I think you're absolutely right. I have only just seen how expensive the graphic cards have become. If I was to order my PCS build now I would be looking at a £300-£400 price increase compared to what I paid.

    PCSPECIALIST Standard Ryzen CPU Cooling

At least with the 5950X you save on the central heating in the winter, my room is gets really warm when playing games thanks to the AIO pumping out all the heat 😂

PCSPECIALIST Switch 3080 to 3090 for a faster build?

It was definitely worth waiting for the 3080, I've come from the AMD Radeon HD 8970M from 2013 . I didn't get the ASUS ROG STRIX that I'd hoped to get but still very happy with the Gigabyte and to be honest was a nice surprise when I removed in internal packaging.

PCSPECIALIST Switch 3080 to 3090 for a faster build?

I received my second PCS machine on Christmas Eve after a 3 month wait, mine was also over the £3,000 mark. 7 years ago I got a Vortex IV laptop from PCS, that laptop is still going strong and now my younger brother has it for his school work plus gaming. That laptop has never developed a...

PCSPECIALIST How many changes you have to make when you get drunk and order your dream pc :/

I recently purchased a computer with the AMD 5950X. My last machine was Intel, and previously I’ve had an AMD Phenom II X4 and a dual core Athlon. I did however have an excellent experience with the AMD Radeon HD 8970M in my gaming laptop and it’s still going strong. I previously had problems...

    PCSPECIALIST Current build for gaming

I have the 5950X in my build with the H115i cooler. The processor is an absolute monster and in games I've rarely even hit 40% of usage. I play AC Valhalla, NFS Heat, Planet Zoo and Planet Coaster, Dirt 5, FIFA 21, Train Sim World and Red Dead 2. Forget the central heating, the computer is...

    PCSPECIALIST ASUS ROG Strix 3080

To be fair to Kozuki, I was told by PCS themselves that they were not expecting any until March. But Ghosthud has mentioned previously that orders can randomly appear at any point. I swapped from STRIX to standard and got my PC on Christmas Eve. For me it was worth swapping.

PCSPECIALIST 5950X and Nvidia RTX 3080 build

I had saved money from changing to standard 3080 from STRIX. The 5950X was in stock whereas I was waiting on 5900X. Thought I’d be greedy and get 16 cores... 😛

PCSPECIALIST 5950X and Nvidia RTX 3080 build

That is one that I dodged 😂. I have 95, 98 and 2000 but not ME. I also found all the old GPU drivers from many moons ago too in the disc folder. I've had an ATI X1600, ATI HD 4850 (that was an ASUS model), and a Palit Nvidia GTX 560 Ti. Oh yes Vista... My granddad had it because he had a...

PCSPECIALIST Terrible service, call center had no idea what was going on.

Sounds possibly like a lad I dealt with a few weeks ago, sounded quite young and didn’t care at all and was not interested in problem solving. I will promise that there are knowledgeable guys on the helplines and are usually very helpful. Not acceptable waiting all that time to get a guy who...

PCSPECIALIST Zen 3 Tracking thread (5900x/5950x)

They haven’t been receiving any STRIX cards at all as of late, and only received a few in November. The next batch is due in March, maybe February but that’s at a push.

PCSPECIALIST No Nvida Geforce RTX 3080 available - Best alternative suggestion that is actually in stock?

I waited 3 months for my RTX 3080... Yes it was a painfully long wait. But just for thought, a really good rig will last you years. Waiting that extra time will be worth it. Don’t be tempted to change the rig to something you don’t want just to get it quicker.

PCSPECIALIST 5950X and Nvidia RTX 3080 build

I still do have Windows 95 lying around somewhere in the software museum . I will say it's nice to not take an entire day when installing the OS, I sorted my computer out straight after work at 10pm on Christmas Eve and I went to bed with the computer ready to play the next day even after...

PCSPECIALIST 5950X and Nvidia RTX 3080 build

The monitor is an LG 27UL850 27" IPS 4K UHD HDR. Great monitor for both gaming and producing accurate colours for my photography and video work. Looks nice on the desk too.
