PCSPECIALIST Small is beautiful notebook 12" or less

I have an old Mirage 11.6"; runs Fedora 25 Linux really well - it is light and easy to travel with. But there's no obvious replacement available! The smallest is a 13.3" laptop which is ENORMOUS in comparison!

PCSPECIALIST Take care with SkyFire V screens. oops. (plus coparison with Ultranote IV LE)

I move around a lot in my work so my Skyfire V follows me around on planes, airports, hotels, thrown in cars etc. It's always in a nice padded Timbuktu bag there is a special section in the bag for laptops so chargers etc are in a separate bit I don't remember any impact that created this - but...

PCSPECIALIST How do I switch off integrated GPU in favour of NVidia card?

I have a SkyFire III with an NVidia GTX-760M but just noticed that it has been using the integrated Intel HD Graphics 4000 all this time! the Xorg.0.log shows (this is Linux): [ 15.035] (--) intel(0): Integrated Graphics Chipset: Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600 I know there is definitely a...

embarrassing question. I'm trying to load linux on my SkyFire III, but bugger me if I can find the key to get to the BIOS so that it will boot from a USB. Tried every F-key so far and all I am getting are Windows Boot Manager screens.

PCSPECIALIST Optimus V vs Skyfire III for work (same price, same spec - but which one?)

I travel a lot, work in IT security, will use the laptop on assignments. I'll be running Linux and usually have a VM or two on the go. So, I was interested in the Inferno and have been waiting to see if it would come back, it didn't so I'm looking at the next best options. Really it boils...

PCSPECIALIST oh no! what happened to the Inferno?

I was ready to buy a small lightweight but powerful Inferno (I travel quite a bit, use Linux and work on the hoof) - but it seems to have been replaced by a low-spec Gemini (which doesn't match what I need) Does anyone know if there will be an Inferno successor? or is the next...
