Yeah Pop_OS has been so easy. Fan management, nvidia support and GPU management, cpu management straight out of the box. The only 'manual' work I had to do was setting up a large enough encrypted swap partition, as their auto-encrypt swap partition is locked at 4gb, and installing some software...
Just to confirm, the following build is working without flaw running pop OS. I have not really pushed the graphics card yet as I do not game and my work so far has all been CPU intensive, but I am having no graphics issues. Distro is pop_OS LTS with Nvidia drivers:
