It seems the genesis IV cannot boot from USB, so presumably the option to replace the DVD drive with an optional harddisk bay should be removed. I initally opted for a harddisk bay instead of the DVD drive but I was shipped a laptop with a DVD drive and for good reason too as you cannot boot...

It seems that the Genesis IV cannot boot from USB. There isn't an option in the BIOS for boot from USB. Can someone confirm this ?

Has anyone replaced the optical drive on the Genesis IV with a ssd/hdd, would there be any reason NOT to try this on this particular model ? I presume the procedure would be relatively simple but don't want any nasty surprises later on(never done this before)...
