Yes if you use the pc for WiFi or Bluetooth you will need them connected. I learned this the hard way removing them and couldnt figure out why my headphones couldnt connect :(

Both monitors go black then a few seconds later go no display and go into power saving mode.
Disconnecting and reconnecting just puts it back in power saving mode. Though if i give it a hard reset, the monitors turn back
