I genuinely believe the LG27GL850-B is the best value 27" monitor money can buy at the time of writing. I got one in July and it truly makes my rig sing. The colours are so rich and the picture so clear. No regrets.
...there's a side-by-side of the two LG monitors recomended in the two threads above here. Basically I don't think you can go wrong with a 27" LG IPS panel monitor!

That's true, but the point I was making is that there's another G-Synch option that involves an actual hardware module in the monitor, and the LG monitor lacks that.
...since I don't use G-Synch but Freesynch I took the sticker off the LG :).

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who offered advice. The PC arrived on Thursday and it runs like a dream. Also picked up an LG UltraGear 27GL850-B when it was on sale at Currys and the two together are just superb.
The Buyers Guide published on these forums saved me a lot of heartache...
Literally 30 seconds before I snapped and clicked "Collect Order" in preparation for a 90 minute drive to Wakefield, the dispatch notification came through. Delivered tomorrow. When I'm at work :(.

Well my PC went to "Awaiting Dispatch" at 11.30pm on Monday night and is still there. Was really hoping I'd hear today that it was on it's way but it seems to have spent a whole working day in the warehouse!
Mine went into Awaiting Dispatch at 23.30 last night. Am also wondering the same thing. I guess it boils down to whether the courier they use is next day delivery from the point of collection.
Turns out that once the Collermaster 240 is fit there isn't actually *room* for the two extra fans anyways so I've had them removed from the order. Am now waiting for it to enter production and furiously researching monitors to make 1440 a reality. Have decided a 32" is probably too big for the...
