I trained as a Civil Engineer back in the 60's and worked for a number of Local Authorities. During this time, I became interested in programming. After 15 years, I was offered a job with IBM, where I stayed for 20 years. After that, I went contracting for 10 years writing VB-based programs. I then had a further 4 years as a permy before being made redundant at 67 and finally deciding to call it a day. I am now learning ASP.NET MVC and C# with which I have built a web site for my Bowls Club.
