It does sound like it doesn't it.
I've had the card out of the system and carefully inspected the fans, each individual blade and there is nothing that I can see causing the issue. Whilst the card is installed, I can also assure there is no cables that could possibly cause the problem.
It...
Unfortunately, it appears the issue is actually getting worse. I finally finished my night shifts and was playing some games. I wasn't always able to hear the rattle though my headset but now I can. I'll call them tomorrow and push for RMA to be arranged ASAP. This is getting silly.
Example 1...
That's definitely the plan.
Honestly I was considering just paying extra and having the replacement to be a ASUS TUF 3080 rather than a zotac.
It's a bit awkward given that PCS have even said the QC of zotac isn't to scratch and theyve found rattling to be common in these cards.
Another update for those interested.
PCS have agreed to an RMA, however, they have also said that though their reports, the Zotac 3080 does suffer from a widespread rattle that requires a bedding in period and should self resolve after two weeks of normal use.
I'm happy to wait two weeks as...
That's a fair point. I bet Googling "Asus 3080 issues" would spout out a number of QC problems as well. Luck of the draw.
Can't fault PCS! Excellent customer service. We'll probably be arranging for DPD collection for Wednesday.
Just an update, received an email from PCS. They're looking at direct replacement as well. Currently providing a few more photos as evidence to the issue which I completely appreciate.
Has anyone else seen or heard of this issue with Zotac 3080s? My concern is that the replacement may suffer...
Oh that's excellent!
I'll await for the correspondence from PCS on Monday as I have sent them and email. If they agree too an RMA I'll complete the following steps :)
Oh that's excellent! I thought I'd be without a GPU for weeks as I read that on a few of Zotacs forums for their RMA process. I am concerned at how I will give the RMAed card to DPD as the GPU came installed inside the PC and I do not have a box or antistatic bag for the card.
I completely...
It's possible! I've had a look at the clearance between the fan blades and the shroud and it appears there is enough room. There aren't any marks or scratches inside the shroud to suggest the fan shroud is brushing against the blades. However, at the speed the fan is going, it might not make a...
I'm referring to the support arm that was included.
It isn't rattling against that as it occurs when it's either installed or uninstalled. No configuration of the support arm seems to help.
I believe I've isolated the issue to the fan chassis as pressing in certain spots stops the noise.
Are...
Here is it :D
Just to mention, I am working nights so my replies are a touch slow. Just so I don't appear AWOL or uninterested.
Thank you for your help :)
Hello everyone! :)
My new PC was delivered on Tuesday and so far I am ecstatic with the PC!
Unfortunately, I have an issue with my Zotac 3080 which is persisting when the GPU hits RPM at around 50%.
I have attempted to install the GPU bracket in different ways and it does not make any...
Thank you for your advice.
I purchased the PC already so unfortunately, I cannot make any amendments based on your advice.
In the end, I have this. I am quite happy with it.
So this is the PC I have come out with.
You have a good point with RAM, however, there are a few games that I do mod quite a bit and I am happy keeping 32GB :)
I quite like just having the single drive. I find things more organized.
Considering the price differences, I may as well keep the...
