It showed up when I first restarted the computer after reseating the drive, but it’s not showing up again after putting it to sleep (the drive appearing and disappearing has been a continued issue).
Hi all, I’ve tried reseating the harddrive but still no luck. I’ve tried opening the Steam app but I’m getting a “fatal error: steam needs to be online to update”.
Would anyone else have any suggestions or is this a case where I’ll have to replace the harddrive?
Hi everyone,
I bought my PC back in July 2020. For the last few months, my second M.2 SSD Drive (2TB SEAGATE FIRECUDA 520 GEN 4 PCIe NVMe (up to 5000MB/R, 4400MB/W)) has not been showing up on my disk management / being recognised as a drive. After I restart it, it sometimes shows up but then...
Just to add a fifth monitor: the LG Ultragear 34gn850 seems quite cheap on this website at £815 but not sure if it's a legitimate website. It seems to be a really powerful monitor at 160hz
What are your thoughts on the difference between 100hz and 144hz monitors and VA and IPS panels (specifically whether the 144hz and IPS are significantly better than their counterparts)? I've read @Oussebon 's helpful monitor guide and I've decided against getting the Odyssey G7 as the 32" has...
Cheers guys, especially @Nursemorph , that deal for the G7 looks really good. I think I'll wait to see if the G9 comes out this month and, if not, likely will go with the G7 and upgrade later to the G9 along with my GPU in a couple years.
Hi all, your advice on the PC was extremely helpful, so I just wanted to ask your opinions on 1440p 144hz 30+ inch monitors.
I've been thinking about waiting for the new Samsung Odyssey G9 but it still hasn't been released in the UK yet and I've read on Reddit that some people in the US have...
Thanks guys! I'll make sure to check out all your recommendations.
I've just put in the order and I'm really excited. A big thank you to all of you, especially @Scott . I'll probably get the monitor and keyboard by the end of this week (and the 49 inch Samsung monitor is looking really...
Cheers Scott! I'm very grateful. The Amazon link for the fan is extremely helpful.
I'll put in the PCS order today and fingers crossed it won't be too long before I receive it.
Have you got any recommendations for peripherals (especially keyboards and mice)?
Thanks again Scott :D, I think I'll go with the 500D SE - it looks really good. Would you recommend getting any additional fans (like a rear fan) on top of the 3 front fans for additional cooling?
Thank you! You've all convinced me that AMD is definitely the way to go.
I've copied and pasted my final specs below for any more advice before I order.
I've got a last couple questions regarding the processor cooling:
1) I've switched to the TD500 case instead of the H500 as the H500 doesn't...
Thanks everyone, I really appreciate you all taking the time to answer. The monitor suggestions are especially helpful as there are so many different options that I'm a bit stuck on which to choose.
I've got a few questions:
AMD 3800x vs 3900x
@Scott,
The £3500 budget is solely for the...
@Chris-Wenger Thanks for your speedy reply.
When you suggest the Ryzen build, is this because of future upgrade-ability as AMD seems to be producing both price and performance competitive chips?
Thank you for the advice about the power supply - I'll change that.
Hi all, I would really appreciate some advice on these two builds I am considering below: one is Intel and the other is AMD. I will be using these for gaming. I was initially only looking at Intel as I understand that the FPS in some games are slightly higher for Intel, and it's what I'm used to...
