Hi,
I'm looking at this config for Ubuntu, it will be used for some programming:

Ok, so just tried running the 3DMark benchmark and it doesn't recognise my 580m and gives me a score of ~3500. Something wrong there! I am in performance mode. Anything else? Would install drivers from NVidia but the latest are beta and don't know whether to trust them.
I know I'm getting a laptop but my brother is looking to get a new PC and isn't sure whether to get a separate sound card. The built in chips are ok for me but he's more into his music than I am, not an audiophile by any means but just wants it to sound ok. Will the built in chips be sufficient...
Well tomorrow will be working day 10 and my laptop is still in pre :(
Sure hope they manage to ship it early next week, it has already felt like a loooong wait!
This may already be somewhere I'm missing but it would be good to have on the web site an explanation of what the average time is measuring. Is it last 1000 builds, builds over the past month, or something else?
Thanks
New laptop spec, currently in pre, didn't realise how impatient I am until now!
