I think it may be why they’ve stopped the fast track system again they’ve probably been snowballed with people transferring their builds especially those at the back of the queue so to speak cause for those who were about to be built it wouldn’t have made much difference
Whilst doing the obligatory windows repeat update on setting up my new desktop I’ve had a message do I want to download and install the Armoury Crate Software it looks like it’s a program to help manage and down load the ROG software updates. Do I need to download this now should I leave it...
Yay desk top delivered, set up and now doing the laborious windows updates some taking longer than others the No 2004 update was a real aunt bertha’s butter ball
Lol was winding you up off course I’ve downloaded the dpd app though tracking says it’s sitting in the Sheffield depot since 1pm so has a fair few miles to go to get to a local depot still haven’t had an email from dpd though 😜
Erm you mean we don’t get notified by email or text by dpd what is this app your talking about been wondering when I was going to be informed of my delivery slot 🙁☹️
Your not going to like this Ordered it on Friday afternoon as a fast track build was built and tested yesterday and dispatched this morning. By the way I understand fron others the fast track has been suspended again due to the incredible demand
Can I say I’m certainly no component wizard and all I’ve learnt has mostly been through listening to the guys here and elsewhere and I’m sure the guys here can certainly help you out, one other bit of info they are going to need is what type of monitor you plan to use ie what resolution and...
Omg I hope it’s not that they’ve got something against Scots cause mines will be making its way to Auld Reekie when it’s out of testing( only been there since late this afternoon) and is finally dispatched
Just out of interest did you by any chance add Saturday delivery thinking you might get it last Saturday if so they’ll hold it till Friday to dispatch so it will arrive on Saturday
As I said the guys who will be able to advise you best will need to know what budget to work with as well @Nursemorph just put a shout out to one who will probably be better advise you on the build
The guys who can best advise you will need to know what you need the system to do i.e., gaming, streaming , photo editing etc also what type of monitor you plan to connect to inorder to best adv you Also what your budget is as well
😮 I bet they were overwhelmEd with customers upgrading their existing orders it was only £35 to fast track and as I’ve previously said I’m surprised it was so cheap to do
😉 @mark070797 I’m kinda hoping for that myself if it gets into testing by end of play today I even have a chance of getting it for Thursday. 🤯 whilst typing just got notified it’s gone into testing at this rate it might be with me on Wednesday .......nah that’s too much to hope for just being...
Valid point @Nursemorph was just thinking it would possibly help cut down on problems caused by corrupted updates, that and I’m probably being a bit lazy 😉
makes sense the rights to install legal copies of Windows 10 onto their builds would only be updated as a master copy only periodically so that’s why we need to update the copy when we get receive our builds. What I was really asking I suppose was why PCS don’t do the updates in factory for...
Your PSU will more than compensate it’s why the guys tell you to ignore the over powering warning that will come up when you proceed or save the build it allows you to upgrade without worrying about putting in a larger power supply and a pile of hassle rewiring
