My PC came last week...... and after a week of it sitting there empty.... I've caved in and bought an MSI Suprim X 3090 off eBay. I will soon be gaming in self loathing!
Guy on the phone said it's fine and has already been built but he is gonna double check that the PSU in my build is actually the AX and will email me confirmation later. So yeah hopefully it'll be shipped this week.
Only bad news is that I'll have to put some more effort into sourcing a GPU lol
I'm just calling now to check. It's weird because just yesterday I spoke to a guy who told me my PSU wasn't available (I had changed it to Corsair AX1000W).
Ok weird, I'm Day 28 and just went in build. 5900X, no GPU.
I ordered way back in Nov but unfortunately decided to cancel and ended up ordering again in Jan. In hindsight that was a huge mistake.
Not to the point where it is anywhere close to their flagship product is the point I am making. Anyways, not here for an argument. Just wanted to make people aware :)
I just don't think it's ok to slap on that kind of margin in a way which is very hard to see exactly which part you are being gouged on.
Like I said, agree to disagree. If you know what you're looking at it's fine, if not then who cares, it's their business.
If anyone wants a 3090 FE you can get one right now (at MSRP). They've been available for over 3 hours now so I can only assume the 3090 hype is dying down lol
You want to follow it closer then because the talk on their forums is that their process is horrible. I can go into it more deeply if you're really interested.
If you want a 3090 they are readily available at quite a few retailers. Still above MSRP (but still better than eBay) and the tippy top models not available but you could have one in your hands tomorrow.
The situation at OC is TERRIBLE! I'm not loyal to any company I put my money where it is best spent and that is why I have been buying from PCS since 2011 and that is mostly for pricing. Currently OC seem to be getting less stock than other companies whilst making claims of getting more, it's...
