PCSPECIALIST A few questions - Loose temperature sensor? Fan speed?

A little delayed but just wanted to thank you (and everyone else that chipped in!) - it's taken a couple of weekends to get the case open and take a look but think that we're there; fan connector has been successfully moved to the correct header and has dropped the noise from the excessive RPM...

PCSPECIALIST A few questions - Loose temperature sensor? Fan speed?

It's a B550-PLUS TUF but I think that I've found the missing header, it appears to be right in the middle of the board so perhaps was more hassle to get that hooked up than the optional header. I've had a look though and the cable management is a little severe for my liking with around 30 or so...

PCSPECIALIST A few questions - Loose temperature sensor? Fan speed?

Ahh thank you so much, embarrassing on the first point but good to know! I thought that stuff was always integrated with the board but guess I've never stopped to think about it! I'll have a look at the second point and hopefully will be able to identify the correct headers. Hoping that they'll...

PCSPECIALIST A few questions - Loose temperature sensor? Fan speed?

Hi there all, please forgive the naivety but could someone tell me what this random red cable below is? It looks dangerously like a temperature sensor but is just not attached to anything and... if it should be attached to something could anyone give a little guidance? It's not seemingly long...

    PCSPECIALIST 3070ti wait times

So I'm about to buy a new house so specifically am waiting to get a new desk/monitor, so forgive the poor setup, but if anyone was interested images are here. I held off posting for a while as I wasn't actually tooooo pleased when it arrived. I couldn't control the RGB on the fans (presumably...

    PCSPECIALIST 3070ti wait times

Ah, lame… now I’m already kinda regretting my decision… Maybe it sounds like it’s time for me to order a slightly larger desk… 😅

    PCSPECIALIST 3070ti wait times

That looks so neat! Is that the 5000x case? That was in my build up until a few days ago but I backtracked at the last moment to sourcing my own 4000x as I sadly didn’t think I’d have the desk space for it… I’m pretty sure I’ll end up regretting switching but is it as beefy in person as I’d...

PCSPECIALIST My computer is in a build queue

@Smokitt10 What GPU did you order with your build out of curiosity? ——— Mine was a 3070ti (although there was minimal gain for this GPU, it was £7 more than the 3070 when I ordered! :p) edit: sorry formatting went weird on mobile!

PCSPECIALIST My computer is in a build queue

When did you order? Mine has just started building now and I’ve been waiting 21 working days in pre-production (or 26 days since I placed the order). They are just unfortunately super busy at the moment!

    PCSPECIALIST 3070ti wait times

It’s happening! In build at 21 days pre-production - although I did likely hold it up by supplying my own case a day or so ago… 😅. It does look like they’re slowly catching up on the backlog and bringing the estimates forward which is nice! :) Hopefully not too much longer for anyone else!

PCSPECIALIST First custom PC! Would love any opinions/ advice from experienced pc users!

Just as I ended up doing this myself, you could also look to source something like the Corsair 4000x RGB from another reseller and ship that in to PC Specialist through the ‘send your own case’ option. It was actually really easy and I just used the PCS address instead of my own at checkout for...

PCSPECIALIST First custom PC! Would love any opinions/ advice from experienced pc users!

Not to hijack the thread but could I potentially ask why you’d suggest a better motherboard? I’ve ordered the same as OP but with the 5800x but all the documentation claims it’s compatible so might need to change that if there’s an issue!

PCSPECIALIST Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

I really thought I’d made a pretty competent go at speccing the components but I’ve had to make so many tweaks as I’ve found out my mistakes along the way… I’m actually glad there’s a bit of wait on building at the moment as hopefully it’s allowed me to optimise it a little better than what I...

PCSPECIALIST Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

Thank you for the great advice, greatly appreciated! Have gave a few tweaks to the cooler and, all things considered, will find a little extra to keep the 5800x as just in case anything does make more use of the additional cores in future. :) Now just to wait for the build date (whenever that...

PCSPECIALIST Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

Thank you ever so much! If it wasn’t too much bother, could I perhaps ask if there was any particular difference or reason why you’d suggest the specific motherboard / cooler or if there was a reason you’d dropped the RAM? Admittedly those were the bits I was the most unsure of when making my...

PCSPECIALIST Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

About £2000, happy to go a bit higher but have sadly decided against the queue for a 3080. 3070ti was about £7 more than the 3070 when I ordered so don’t really mind the diminishing returns on that!

PCSPECIALIST Could use a last minute check! £2000 budget, first gaming PC!

Not sure if anyone can perhaps check whether there’s any obvious flubs in my configuration? Haven’t had a PC since my old Pentium II! Any and all advice appreciated! Thank you! Had to copy the spec in a different format as the ‘post to forum’ didn’t have my latest changes! So hopefully it’s...
