I have purchased the 'Z690 Aorus Ultra Wifi' Motherboard. Do I need to purchase an NVME with a heatsink? Or will the large metal plate on the motherboard which the NVME sits under suffice? I presume the NVME will fit under the plate with a heatsink?
It's only going to use a maximum of 760W with the RTX 4090 and corsair 115i liquid cooler. The website said the 1000w is fine which includes the 20% allowance. Order placed now. Should be with me on Tuesday / Wednesday hopefully!
OK I'll call them tomorrow and look at changing to the "Corsair iCUE H115i RGB PRO XT Hydro Series High Performance CPU Cooler".
I've decided to just go all out now and get the RTX 4090. I said to myself I am already spending a lot of money and I want to try and future proof myself a little bit...
I use a 55 inch LG C2 at 120Hz for all my gaming (PC and consoles). So only 120FPS max I'm afraid. Although Im not a total FPS freak I like to try and maintain around 60.... anything over this is a bonus and anything under a minor disappointment lol.
I've just had a chat with the guys on the phone and they've said it will be fine :)
I mean if its marginal gains I'm not overly fussed. If its significant then obviously I'd pay a bit extra.
Thanks though. Appreciate all the responses.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, I have taken the advice on board and upgraded the case size, installed a 1000W power supply in case I want to upgrade the GPU in the future and added the 240 frostflow liquid cooler as per recommendation.
I haven't bought a new PC in about 10 years and this is my first custom build.
I presume the spec pasted below wont have any issues playing all current games on max settings?
