£3,000 to spend... Spoil me PC Specialists!

Hello!

I converted to laptops maybe 10 years ago and after 2 Alienware and 1 PC Specialist, I have decided to revert back to desktop gaming. I am looking for a gaming PC preferably AMD for the simple reason I haven't had one since my teen years. If Intel and nVidia are better by a large margin then I can compromise. The budget includes the cost of a monitor. Keyboard and mice I will buy separately. I do have a slight fanboy attitude towards SteelSeries although I have been using a Razer Naga Chroma for the past 6 months.

Please help!

AMD's CPUs aren't meaningfully behind Intel's, especially for gaming at higher resolutions that you'll be aiming for with your budget. And Intel's CPUs are currently very expensive due to supply issues.

Nvidia's best graphics cards, however, are vastly more powerful than AMD's. The GTX 1080 (now replaced by the RTX 2070) came out in 2016 and was better than anything AMD had. AMD released Vega in 2017 with their best GPU "Vega 64" about matching the 1080. Except Nvidia had already released the GTX 1080 ti which smashes either graphics card. And now they've released the 2080 ti, which smashes that... So for a high end setup especially 4k gaming, which you can easily achieve with this budget, AMD are out of the GPU race.
