1.65v Ram and i5 4670K

I have read that Intel do not recommend having 1.65v RAM installed as it can damage/shorten the life of the CPU and recommends the RAM is 1.5v.

Can anyone confirm if this is the case or not?

I have heard that was the case with some Sandybridge processors, I do not think its as big an issue with the ivy/haswell ranges.
