1440p maximum gaming 1080ti rig. Currently awaiting build.

Hey all,
Decided to go all out on my first gaming rig in ages. I did tonnes of research and I think any omissions hopefully are neglible to performance and longevity but always happy for a second opinion. Because I'm pairing this with the 27inch ViewSonic 1440p 165hz IPS gaming monitor I think the 1080ti is justified and pretty futureproof. Motherboard on the cheaper side but still v good I think?
PSU could be gold standard but I'm not paying the bills. This is awaiting build so tonight is likely the last chance to change anything.
My budget is 1900 and I'm maxxed out so hopefully s'all good haha! Thank you very much in advance. If you think it's all good let me know too.

It'd madness to buy the 7700k when the 8700k is now available in my opinion. With 6 core CPUs now starting to be mainstream, it seems the 8700k would be a lot more futureproof.

There's no real point to the 650W VS series. If spending that much on the PSU you might as well go for the 650 TXm series, as it's more efficient and modular. Or just drop down to 550W.

The H60 is a fairly cheap cooler. With that and the cheap PSU you won't be doing much overclocking. You may as well stick to a cheaper air cooler like the CM212x - or the Noctua, which would be better than the H60 anyway. Or if you really want a water cooler for the aesthetics, the cheapest water cooler on offer.

The PM961 M.2 SSD under the M.2 SSD Drive menu is a lot faster than the 850 Evo for only £8 more. Unless you're desperate for AC Origins (and the current 100% DRM CPU usage bug...) the PM961 is much better value.

This is because they use completely different motherboards and so you would've needed to use a completely different configurator page to create it.
You normally have to cancel and reorder to make such significant changes (where significant change equals changing the type of CPU)

they are out of stock on the 8700k, so at this stage I've cancelled my order and will wait and see how long to get a new one in.
Thanks for your helps guys

Hey Oussebon, would you allow a PM. I don't want to post competitor's builds in public I think it's disrespectful. Wondering if you could check over a build.

It's not really allowed in PM's either, sales advice on competitors' builds, afaik.

The forum can give you advice about squeezing the most out of PCS's configurators, but in terms of comparing the best option from PCS vs options from other sources, you might want to try an open forum like Tom's Hardware. :)
