Hi guys,

Just ordered this new laptop, bit worried now about the display, as i needed it to be under £700. I think i've done well for the money which was £680, but im thinking how much this will effect the computer, i would be playing games and other general use and i did have to make some sacrifices, cant help but think i could of done better tho! Hay hay bit late now tho :) and im still very happy, just thought i would see if anyone thinks it will make that much difference with the 1080 and 720. Cheers :)

Ok thanks, i did want the gtx 850 but you had to have the 1080 res, it just pushed my budget to far. I would appreciate any good places to buy software aswell dvd music etc.

The 850m is a much better GPU, the 850m is in the gtx range, meaning it's more for gaming, where as the 840m isn't. I would really push for the 850m if it's for gaming.

I no ive lost some sleep about this, im still in the processing stage of my order, so i have emailed pc specialist fingers crossed it will be ok to change a few things round. There was a amend option on there but not for screen res or gpu. Thanks for the advice.

If you want my opinion, downgrade your CPU to an i5 because the difference it makes in terms of performance is quite small but in terms of price is a huge discount. That should give you enough money to upgrade to the full HD screen and the 850m. :)

I did consider that option, but as its a part i would never really upgrade i decided againt, and its always nice to no that its there isnt it :)
