I would like to know which one is my best option? Both specs are around the same price at just over £1600. I have noticed that the Vortex has G-Sync, how much of a difference does this make and is it worth it for the slightly smaller display?

I've also read that PCS are apparently bringing out new panels for some laptops too, does anyone have any more info on this?

I’ve heard reports directly from PCS staff that they were intending to release some 144hz 1440p panels in the near future although the latest update has been open ended to a time frame unfortunately so we don’t know any more. It may be worth giving them a call about this and asking for an update.

I’ve got 2 gsync screens and imho it’s worth every penny. Makes for buttery smoothness even when your FPS is down to 35-40. For longevity I would say it’s an absolute must.

I have to say also that I’m a huge fan of the vortex chassis, it’s superb. As you can see I own a 5 year old one that’s still going strong having been used daily in that time.

Personally, if it were me, I’d go straight for the vortex option.

I just enquired directly about 1440p screens in laptops and drew a blank unfortunately - there was a response from a team member, but not one with any helpful information. It might just be that the screens they're getting in are subject to non-disclosure legal gubbins until they're actually on sale, and they might be about to arrive, but we might equally be in for a long wait :/

I doubt it's an NDA issue, unless they're expecting to source a new model panel. But that seems highly unlikely.
