15.6" VYPER III - Very Loud Fans?

Hey, has anyone else got the Vyper 3 15.6"? I purchased this build and it came this week however under really low strain (playing a youtube video, even when paused) the fans seem to boot up super loud, does this sound normal/match with what others are seeing? Really didn't expect it to be this loud.

Also the battery seems to only last about a hour off charge.

I believe it's because you're not in Office mode and probably have the turbo on. It can be configured in the Control Centre or by pushing the button near the power one.

That was in "game mode" as I thought that would be best to allow the fans to fluctuate to keep the temperatures down? The CPU temp was about 56 when the fans were going that wild. Should office mode be the default? The keyboard seems to get warm to the touch in office mode but the CPU/GPU temps don't go higher than 60ish.

If I'm doing daily tasks, or even wanting to game with quieter fans normally I'll use Office mode which sits at 80 degrees (daily tasks much lower).

If im playing a game that requires more power I'll use Game mode for the boost in performance.

You could also try setting up a custom fan curve which will help!

Brilliant thanks I'll give it a try today! It's been about 5 years since I got a new laptop so things have changed a lot! How are you finding the battery life? Off charge does it last more than an hour while gaming?

Thanks

In all honesty I havent gamed without being plugged in. I think the performance decreases significantly so havent bothered!

Pretty much no gaming laptop will give you over 2 hours of gaming on battery. Most will be around an hour. It's because dedicated GPUs need a lot of power.
