16GB 1333MHz or 8GB 1600MHz: which is better?

Hi,

Which is better? My instinct says the extra 267MHz is better than the extra 8GB, but the Samsung 16GB config is much more expensive than the other one.

Whats it going to be used for? If overclocking then 1600Mhz.
But for uses such as video editing most definitely 16gb.
For gaming, neither, 4gb 1333Mhz will do fine :) 8 at most.

So I like to play around with photos in photoshop, maybe render a youtube video or two, and why not play some games. Do I stick with this ram, go for the 16gb 1333, or stick with this and buy an extra 8gb 1600mhz elsewhere? p.s. why isnt 16gb 1600mhz an option?

I think don't think the Motherboard can support 16GB running @ 1600MHz, there will be a reason why it's not available to order.

Personally, I think 16GB is over the top for 90% of users. I'd save a bit of money and get 8GB 1333MHz. You also then have the option to add another 8GB 1333MHz in the future, if/when the laptop begins to struggle.
