OK - I have done something similar for the 15.6" laptops, so here is the 17.3" version.

Was interesting to see that the Defiance price gap between the 15.6 and 17.3 is a huge whopping £1 for the two models and the same price for the third model - yes I did go check the 15.6" to ensure I hadnt dont something wrong.

Strange the Elimina Pro only has a 6 core not 8 core CPU and also in the 17 inch laptop only has 1080p not 1440p as seen in the 15 inch.

Keep an eye on the website though as these were only just added yesterday I think, so there might be more variants to come.

I was looking at the Clevo options (Elimina and Defiance) and wondering what benefit the Defiance has other than the weight/thickness/battery.

Looking over the details I could find the following:

* Elimina is 144Hz display, Defiance is 240Hz.
* Defiance is listed as Pantone Validated, Elimina doesn't say this.
* Defiance has SOUND BLASTER™ Atlas, Elimina has SOUND BLASTER™ cinema 6 (unclear to me if there's any practical difference).
* Elimina seems to have a multi-card reader, Defiance is micro-SD.
* Defiance has Thunderbolt 3 where as Elimina has USB C; Defiance has 3x USB 3.2 Gen 1, Elimina has 1 each of USB 3.2 Gen 2, USB 3.2 Gen 1, USB 2.
* Defiance has a fingerprint scanner (unclear if the Elimina lacks this, or they just haven't listed it).

On the "Pantone Validated", not sure how much this matters in practice if you're not a graphics professional? I liked that my Recoil II had a much better display than my 2012 laptop, I would hope the Elimina is at least in line with modern displays(?)

Last time I looked at laptops, there was the choice of g-sync or not - I preferred having one without so that programs could run either on the Intel or NVIDIA graphics (which AFAIK isn't possible with g-sync?)

But there's no mention of g-sync on either laptop? I also see a reference of UMA mode for the Defiance which I think means integrated graphics - does anyone know whether one can switch GPUs on laptops these days?

Sorry, I don't have an answer to most of your questions, but I can help with the last one: Yes, there is an option on windows 10 (called graphics settings) that you can force your apps to use the dedicated or integrated GPU. Windows will do its own assessment by default, but if you think that you can play something with the integrated while windows is selecting dedicated by default, you can force it otherwise.

Regarding most of your other questions, it's going to be hard for us to give you an answer, since those are still pre-order laptops and no one actually has one yet. So asking that directly to PCS is the way to go, in my opinion.

Based on the issues PCS have had with the Tong-Fang Chassis I would recommend steering clear of the Ionico range - I am curreantly RMA my Vyper 17.3" due to the issue with battery only - (forum post in technical) - Defiance would be the one i would be recommending for sure

Considering how the Defiance's power supply is only up to 180W, I suspect both CPU and GPU are underpowered.
I hope PCS starts to include this info in the site, especially given how Nvidia is making it mandatory for its GPUs.

This is one of the reasons why I've ordered a 17.3 ionico with the 3070 due to the higher wattage

A good question and one to ask PCS directly if ever you are on the phone / in webchat to them.

Could be a number of reasons - thermals on that chassis for other CPUs / stock levels to clear out some of these / chassis only tested with this at moment...

Its likely that its all they have been supplied with at the moment or could get in for that chassis at present.

Have a look at @Macco26 posts regarding the Ionico - he seems very fair with his review of it.

Also do a search for ionico, Elimina and defiance and look for latests posts from users that have just been receiving theirs. Its probably too early for errors or issues to be showing up at the moment but TF seem to have improved, but personally, I think its still a bit too early to say either way especially as my TF (Optimus) is in for repair at the moment (keyboard keys wearing issue rather than any hardware component causing major laptop issues - the laptop itself ran fantastic).

Jarrod's Tech just 3 days ago reviewed a Clevo with 5900HX.
Well, despite being on par with the RTX 3070 of our Ionico, it's suboptimal.

No QHD display, only FullHD. The potential of the RTX 30 series wasted, as at FullHD the CPU easily bottlenecks the FPS feeding. Using the high refresh rate of this panel is impossible, also because of the following lack.
The Clevo has not a MUX, only Nvidia Optimus. Hello? Clevo, Hello? It's 2021 here!
The Clevo uses (in that review) an overclockable CPU (HX) yet their archaic Control Center (or BIOS, for what it matters) can't move a single thing.
My 2 cents? More hopes in the Zen3 incarnation from Tongfang, honestly, provided PCS imports it. That Clevo intepretation is trash, IMO.
