3840qm cpu

Hi....just wondering if my cpu clock speed is right? I ran 3d mark 11 and when i looked at my cpu clock speed it only shows 3691 MHz.

I dont really know much about these things, but i was expecting the clock spped to be nearer 3840 MHz????

Am i missing somthing and if so what can i do about it.......any ideas guys???

Don't trust 3d mark to measure your clock speed

If you get CPUID then run a CPU intensive program (something that will max out your CPU essentially) then you should get a better view of your clock speed.

The 3840QM has a 3.8GHz clock speed (not 3840MHz; the 3840 is just the model number). The 3691MHz measured is close enough that the difference is just margin of error in reading the clock speed by 3DMark.
