What are you using it for and what is your budget? you would probably be better off getting the newer coffee lake processor.

I am going to be using it for gaming at high FPS with a 144Hz monitor, that configuration there pretty much maxes out my budget. It depends on how much more expensive the coffee lake processors are, would you recommend the i5-8600K?

EDIT: So I found out that because of the Black Friday promo code I can go for the i5 8600K over the i5 7600K with no extra cost. Also a question the configuration page says that the ASUS PRIME Z370-P mother board is pre-order only, does that mean they don't have any in stock or that the product is not in the market yet?

It means they don't have it in stock. It's definitely on the market and they have been selling it.

Should you miss out on the promo for the i5 8600k, the i5 8400 is still better than the 7600k

2nd Hard Disk
1TB WD BLACK 3.5" WD1003FZEX, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB CACHE (7200rpm)
The WD Blacks have a huge price premium, that is not at all worth it for gaming vs any other 7200rpm HDD. You could buy a 2TB regular HDD for less than the cost of a 1TB WD Black

The WD Black 1TB is £30 more than the no-brand 1TB HDD and the 2TB is only £10 less, and I also have my own space 500GB 850 EVO SSD, so I don't need 2TB. With all that in mind do you think the faster HDD for £30 is not worth it?

Not even slightly. It's not going to be meaningfully faster. You won't notice the difference - in fact there will be no difference at all in terms of game framerate if you installed games on there For your uses it's pretty much a straight waste of cash

Stick to the 1TB regular HDD and spend what you save on faster RAM, which can have huge returns in some titles:

Ok, so 16 GBs of 3200MHz RAM and the standard 1TB is a better choice. Besides I plan on putting my most playe games on my spare SSD which I will put in the PC myself so there really isn't much point in an expensive HDD like you say.

So is there anything that may need changing with this config?
