Accessory suggestion

I personally prefer steelseries gaming range to any other which i'd of placed on my order if it was available, they have much better products available then the logitech gaming range and there range of products is specifically for gaming, since you sell gaming pc's I thought you might want to look into it, I know they sponsor many big teams for lans and such and there products are all made around comfort and latency and design most of there products to improve game play. I dunno if you've tried to introduce there products or your exclusively logitech just a suggestion :)

Razer, Steelseries, Wolf King - all great brands, but we can only offer a finite amount of keyboards and for most customers, Logitech are just what's needed. Even if we were to list SS or Razer, we'd then need to list a large range, and we'd get customers asking for the "orange and green one", etc.

Thanks for the feedback though, we'll definitely look into it further and consider these options. Out of interest, what's everybody's favourite brand of keyboard and mouse?

I appreciate your enthusiasm Len, and you've introduced me to some interesting bits of kit, but I've never regarded my keyboard (5 year old Dell wireless jobby) as being lacking in the latency department, keyboard latency sounds a bit gimicky to me so thanks but no thanks :)

I'd rather spend the £80 that keyboard costs on nightclubs alcohol and kebabs :D

I'll admit I like the look of that 5L mouse pad, that'll go on the shopping list I think. I refuse point blank on principle to spend more than £80 on a headset. As for mice, well I've tried the MSI3.0 and never liked it much, grown quite fond of my Deathadder though! Unless you're making a living out of playing games I don't see much point in paying a premium for a brand, even if there's some small advantage, but trying to convince me that going all out on Steelseries kit will make me even more pro than I already am, well I'm skeptical to say the least ^.^

/agree
Ok, maybe not the kebabs, I don't get drunk enough to think kebabs are a good idea anymore :)

But yeah, I must say I like my 10 quid PS/2 keyboard and my cheap boring mouse.
For a start if I break them, or if anyone (myself included) manages to spill a drink over them it's dirt cheap to replace :)
I don't really use my mouse much when gaming anyway, and I have everything hotkeyed to what you'd find on a crappy bog standard keyboard.

Yeh but im hardcore if I spent alot of money on a tower and monitor I want accessorys to be equally as good, plus the keyboard is alot of money but it does say that it lasts 3-5 times longer then other keyboards so in theory it's not that expensive, the one I linked has a nice hand rest which 99% of normal keyboards don't aswell as gold connectors which is a better conductor so it's not really that much of a gimmick :p and if you play FPS's everyone knows that a good optical laser mouse and mouse surface is the way forward!

the headset well any good headset costs quite a bit of money and I've found with the cheap ones there usually flimsy and hurt your ears aswell after a while where as one I've got has them big fluffy leather ear cushions and it's really durable can't drop it and suddenly a ear cushions missing or it's snapped in half :D

P.S steelseries was my personal preference im sure there are many other brands that offer equally as good accessorys

Rakk you're letting friends drink near you PC which I think must be a PCS one :O

Yep, which is why I'm more than happy with my Razer Deathadder and Razer Mantis mousepad :D (although the Mantis has suffered a lot of abuse what with spilled OJ and so forth which is why that Steelseries 5L looks so enticing)

It's weird, I've seen loads of reviews on top-end headsets that say durability is an issue, i.e. flimsy, fragile, etc it's like the build quality seems to go down the more you pay. I've had these creative fatal1ty headphones for a few years now and despite only costing 20 quid they've withstood some awesome punishment. They're pretty rubbish for FPS's though :)

Len... I take back everything I said about the Steelseries 7G. I've just read the overclock3d review, and it looks phenomenal. How could I be so arrogant and dismiss this finely crafted masterpiece? Here's a choice quote from the review: "Again, whilst you wouldn't initially consider this for gaming, you'd be a fool not to."

I am a fool!

Not so foolish to see that there's a budget version for £67 with the same gold plated connectors and excellent keys!

This will be my next keyboard. Thanks for recommending it, +rep to you :D

yeh I can't think of anything witty in a "I told you so biatch now burn in fire" sort of way so you've got off lightly

Can anyone suggest a computer desk, needs to be big enough to sit comfortably underneath, have plenty of room for a big mouse pad and I want the keyboard mouse and monitor to be on the same level IE no pull out keyboard and mouse bit, also has to have a decent distance away from monitor when plonked on my chair can't find any that meet that on ebay/argos and also a flat screen high def capable monitor that doesn't look different colours when you look at it from different angles

Wash the hand rest is what sways me personally towards the 7g over the 6gv2 but ill most likely hate the hand rest once I've got it lol..
