So I'm thinking about getting some extra RAM for my machine (I'll explain why further down).
Currently I have 2x4GB of Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600MHz RAM (which claims to be 9-9-9-27, possibly running at 1.65V), so I want to know what other memory will work alongside it.
A lot of 1600MHZ RAM claims to be 9-9-9-24 (or 10-10-10-30) running at 1.5V, would it work fine with what I already have - do I need to even worry about this?
Main reason for adding an extra 4GB:
I think my RAM needs RMA'ing (need to chat to the PCS guys again), but since PCS don't stock it anymore, I'd have to send it back to PCS, they'd have to send it back to Kingston, Kingston would have to do whatever they do with it, and then it (mended, new or refurbished) would be sent back to PCS then back to me - leaving me without a working PC for at least a week (possibly longer) which is just not an option - consequently I need some RAM for that period in time, but I'd like it to work well with the rest of the RAM when I get my old RAM back so that I'm not just buying RAM for one week or so of usage.
