Adequate Cooling for Ryzen 9 3900X

Hi,

I have on order a machine that uses the Ryzen 9 3900X and have been questioning which cooler I should use. (It's on hold because of Nvidia : )).

I currently have the CoolerMaster MasterLiquid Lite 120, the case is PCS SPECTRUM RGB MID TOWER CASE, if that also makes a difference?
I'll be using it for Gaming and Software development mainly, cost isn't a massive issue within reason.

Suggestions?

I have been going around in a big circle-jerk on coolers for a long time now! The case I'm not massively bothered about flashiness, no set budget exactly but it's bordering around where I need it right now, as I still have to purchase a monitor. Overall I saw the Cooler as the weak point, but doing more research makes me think the case may be too!

One thing I'd mention which might be worth checking with PCS: They no longer offer 3600MHz RAM due to stability issues and, as you have 3600 listed, you obviously ordered before they pulled it. Might want to check what they are currently doing about exisiting orders with that frequency involved.

I noticed that when I pulled up the URL, it’d reverted to 4GB 2400MHz, OP must’ve saved that spec a while ago 👍

@AgentCooper those changes make sense for £100ish. Will definitely proceed! I'm aware the monitor required is a hefty investment. Have to love redundancy payments :LOL:

@Nursemorph I ordered 30ish working days ago. If there are stability issues, is it worth changing to the 3200MHz anyway?

Side note: I can't spell mysterious.

I’d change to the 3200MHz, they’ve taken it off the builder for a good reason. The last thing you need is a ton of troubleshooting or outright buying new RAM with your brand new system 👍
