So basically, i want a computer that is used for casual gaming (CSGO, H1Z1, RS3, Overwatch). I'm not really after the most up to date insane graphics, hence the card i chose, mainly due to the price of the higher cards i can't really afford also. Nevertheless, i still want graphics etc to be generally solid. Also, other uses are just general stuff like browsing, twitch, youtube, microsoft office work, so want the computer to handle these tasks well. Any advice is appreciated on this build, any problems or recommendations please say. thanks.

Looks pretty good, my only recommendation would be to get a Caviar Black hard drive and probably more than 500GB. You'll be surprised how quickly that can fill up with the latest games often being 40GB+ each.

Only other thing you may wish to consider is the RX 480 which is releasing very soon for $200 (UK price unknown) and may suit your build perfectly. Release of it is expected June 29th.

I would second waiting a little while for the RX 480, it will be within budget and smash anything else you could get for the same price, even smash some double the cost. It's also VR ready if you're looking at that in the future.

First Time PC

So basically, i want a computer that is used for casual gaming (CSGO, H1Z1, RS3, Overwatch). I've gone off the idea of choosing an AMD rx 480 (after taking some advice and waiting for its release) due to various reasons, so decided to go with the GTX 970 and am pretty set on this build, but wanted to double check the entire build with you guys. Also, other uses are just general stuff like browsing, twitch, youtube, microsoft office work, so want the computer to handle these tasks well. Any advice is appreciated on this build, any problems or recommendations please say. thanks.

don't know why this was moved, but guys i'm about to order it, does this seem fine?

Looks good to me, the RX480 isn't quite what we hoped it would be so the GTX970 is a good (better :)) alternative.

The only thing I'd query is opting for DDR3 RAM over DDR4, don't think there's much difference in price but quite a big difference in performance.

Thanks man :)

To get DDR4 you need a different mobo, which is only available in the High Spec configurator and not the basic Home and Office PC configurator. It seems to make the build ~£80 more expensive.

There would be arguments for trading in/downgrading the SSD to do so, though I can see it both ways I guess.

Disregard, it seems the home/office configurator has changed such that it only offers H110-R which takes 2133MHz DDR4 anyway.
