If it's purely for gaming the Threadripper is a waste, that's a heavy workload CPU intended for things like heavy video editing and rendering. I'd take a Ryzen 5 3600 (or 3600X if you want the free game) instead, then you can also use some money to upgrade the RAM (I'd go for 3000mhz minimum). I'd also upgrade the graphics card to balance it out, an RX 5700 would be more fitting. Ditching the Threadripper will also led you save some money on the PSU, you don't need 850W for a well balanced gaming setup, 650W is fine.

As I've learned from others on this forum, proper balance in a gaming rig is key, otherwise you are going to run into bottlenecks and never end up using cpu power you paid for.

Also if you already are using a Windows 10 license, you can attach it to your Microsoft account and transfer the license to your new machine (assuming you have a way to reinstall it, and don't intend to use the old computer afterwards), saving you another good chunk you can invest in hardware.

Also terrible and imbalanced.

What's your budget and what's your monitor?

Again that is a bit overkill on the CPU, and the RAM is weaker than I'd go for in a gaming rig. I'm not sure on your budget but here is an AMD rig that is well balanced you could look at, and less expensive than your current overkill builds. Also wasn't sure on your case preference so you will have to choose that yourself.
