I've ordered that exact same machine getting it delivered tomorrow. I don't have skyrim yet but Ive got saints row the third, mass effects and gears of war. I can let you know tomorrow how it goes.

I also joined a website http://www.game-debate.com/ you can put in all the details of your rig and it scores you components and gives you an idea on how it rates about the games minimum and recommended requirements

Our processor is scored 54% better than recommended and the GPU is rated 33% than recommended so it should run it very well.

£1380, VAT included... probably shaved off £1000 from a high street equivalent?

Basically I looked up the high-end Macs and tried to get specs along the same lines!

Great news, my Laptop arrived early and im over the moon, I've never had a machine like this before. It starts up fast the screen is just amazing. The 1080 display even just browsing or on windows looks great there's so much data you can fit on the screen. The thing is just solid too its defiantly a top level build quality. I've just gone from a MacBook Pro and was getting fed up with not being able to play my games etc. Sooooo happy i just missed football oops

Im just installing Microsoft security essentials and some other must have programs before i get some games on, so far i have Gears of War, Mass Effects, Star Wars the Old Republic and Saint Row the Third to try out.

I'll keep you posted =D

Microsoft security essentials is definitely a good choice,
that's what I've used along with Malwarebytes for the past year
and never had any security problems ,touch wood.:)

Steam, Origin, its all downloading patches so im installing Mass Effect 1 at the moment while all that goes about its buisness. Installed Audi Surf and it runs it full 1080 with all settings up but it doesn't appear to be a very demanding game so thats not surprising. Tried to install Gears Of War however its not windows 7 friendly apparently so i'll have to google that one later. Saints row is installed then steam started doing something so it'll be ready in about 30 minutes too. Star Wars is also installed but downloading patches now too. Getting there

Cool, got Star War The Old Republic working and it runs NOOOOO problem at 1080 and high settings with V-Sych on. Just played Saint Row 3 and it recommended high at 720 but i cranked it up to ultra 1080 and it just laughed it off. Its awesome =D

That sounds awesome, thanks for the updates!!!

How's the loudness/fan noise? Are you finding that it's overheating or is it staying cool? I have a fan cooler but my current ASUS still gets absurdly hot and it's one of the things I worried about when getting the 16GB RAM.

I would say that it's not quite but it's not noisy either while playing games. The speakers are more than capable of drowning out the noise. There is a subwoofer on the machine to buy its tiny but seems to add a bit of quality to the sound as it doesn't distort with bass at high volumes. It's been very cool, I've just got it sitting on a computer desk. I had it doing multiple tasks ie installing two games downloading from Steam and origin at the same time and the processor was reading about 20% an the 8 gb of ram was about 40%

While gaming it was fast and smooth although I seem to be getting screen tearing on mass effect. If screen rating is what it's called and VSynch doesnt seem to help. Someone told me that mass effect is a poorly written game though and it just runs like that.

Running saints on ultra it remained cool and smooth same with starwars the old republic.I haven't played on it for hours so long term I couldn't tell you. I was operating it for about 6 hours last night though. It took a long time with all the windows updates as I didn't request an operating system.

Any other questions feel free to shout.
