Hi,

I will be using this as a gaming PC - Starfield surprise surprise and a variety of others and with a Samsung Odyssey Neo G7 QLED.

Budget is around £2.5k and this hits it spot on. I have added additional case fans having seen various videos re cooling (and which look quite good) but have seen some advice here that these might be overkill?

The config is pretty spot on really, the only thing I may suggest is to up the secondary drive to the same p44 pro, reason being is there’s a new gaming tech called DirectStorage which loads game assets and textures directly from the SSD into the GPU VRAM, bypassing the RAM, this leads to far reduced load times currently but there is a game, Ratchet and Clank which shows the potential of this tech really clearly where you portal from one level to the next crazy fast so it just feels like part of the normal game

This is taken from PS5 but it’s the same technology, gives you an idea of just how effective it can be in keeping the flow of gameplay

Just additionally, you can reduce the cooler, to the H100i. The 7800x3d is insanely efficient. Just bear in mind it’s only 2 fans rather than the h150is 3 fans, so aesthetically that may not suit you.

I did amend the above a little, make sure you refresh, just an additional comment about the cooler.

Tweaked it slightly to optimise mate and give you more storage, really no need for the extra fans the 5000X comes with 3 and the 2 on the cooler is plenty but if it's for aesthetics then hey up to you, just note the more you add the louder the machine will be
