Okay I moved the CPU down to the 4770 and the OS to home premium and that has reduced the price to £1,795. Are there any other suggestions for changes? Also would you guys recommend buying a headset or a speaker system? I'm currently looking at the Razer Tiamat 2.2 for a headset and the Klipsch Promedia 2.1 for a speaker system. I'm likely to buy both but I would have to prioritise one due to cost.

Thanks for the help

You could upgrade the PSU to 850w if you are planning to add a 2nd GTX 780 or downgrade the motherboard. To get +60 in very demanding game you are probably looking at 2 x GTX 780.

That's a good point Keynes and it may be something that I have to look to in the future as I'm not sure that my budget will stretch that far.

Just been having a chat with some friends about the config above (including the changes to the CPU and the OS) and I was wondering what performance I would lose if I downgraded the CPU to the i5-4670? Also Keynes mentioned downgrading the mobo and I was wondering if there were any suggestions on which board I could go for. I would still need to keep the possibility of an SLI open as I may be adding another screen in the future. Any information on downsides would be appreciated, thanks.

Most games are gpu dependant so going with the i5 wouldn't affect you gaming wise. The Z87-A supports sli but you still need to upgrade your psu. For 2 screens a single gtx 780 should be sufficient.

How difficult would it be to upgrade the PSU at a later date? Or would you recommend just buying a larger PSU now and just not use all of the power that is available right away?

EDIT: Would there be any PCI or PCIe slots left on the Z87-A for a sound card if I decide I want one?

Thanks for all the help Keynes, you've been a big help

Best upgrade the PSU now,it will save hassle and be more cost effective in the long run.

Ok so taking your guys advice and I have moved the CPU down to the 4670 and the mobo to the z87-A (I played with the configurator and got a sound card to work so that is not a problem) and upgraded the PSU to the 1050W Corsair. This gives me some extra cash without sacrificing much performance as well the ability to easily add in a SLI when I have some more money. The build is now £1,760 which I'm pretty happy with.

Thanks for all the help Keynes and Vanthus :)

Question 1: If I order this computer within the next few days will I be able to request that it gets delivered on the 30th as no one will be in to accept the parcel?
Question 2: Does anyone know if the DVI cables are any good? Would I be better off just buying my own cables?
Question 3: Can I order a second monitor through the upgrade system?

Think that's all :) thanks for all the help guys

Question 1: Probably best phone PCS for a definite answer.
Question 2: The DVI cable if supplied with the monitor will be fine as will cables from PCS.
Question 3: Yes.

Thanks Vanthus, I gave them a call and they said it should be fine for the 30th :) I haven't done this before so is there a way to put a comment on my order requesting that date or should I give them a call once the order has been placed?

Thanks again

I don't think there is an option when ordering to request a particular day, unless it's for Saturday delivery.
I would give them a ring,I did that myself for an order and they duly obliged by sending it out so it would be delivered on the day I wanted.
Having said that, they probably can't give a guarantee,as it's in the hands of the delivery company when it leaves PCS,but DPD have been excellent in my experience.
