Anyone had 8+ working days Pre-Production?

So I placed my order on the 9th and it is still in Pre-production. I appreciate that the timescales given are estimates, but this still means it has to go through potentially another 7 working days of production provided today is the last day of pre-production.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of wait time? If you so what were your experiences and how long did your order roughly take?

I would of fast tracked but that wasn't an option on a few of the parts :(

Once your PC gets into build, it will generally be dispatched within a couple of days - presuming there are no issues that occur.
Pre-production in essence is just you sitting in a queue for your machine to be built - so depends entirely on how many people there are in the queue ahead of you, and yes I have seen quite a few threads (over the time I've been reading the forums) where people have been complaining it's been taking too long because it's taken more than the estimated timescale, so you are not the only one where it has taken longer than the estimate.

Pre-Production can be the longest stage of production, once it goes to "In Building" it usually moves on pretty quick, sometimes as little as 2 or 3 days.
Edit : As Rakk just said.

Ahh okay thanks :) Hopefully it will be soon, I'm checking every single day and I'm like a kid the night before Christmas hahah!

Out of interest, if I rang PCS up would they be able to give me an idea of where I am in queue? :)

Probably, but personally I wouldn't bother,it won't make things go any faster,I find it best to try and put it out of your mind for a few days, not easy I know :)

Yeah, I guess if its queued quite far back as well I may regret it! I've got time off work at the moment so it's all I can think about. Might go play some Metal Gear Solid to numb the brain :D :D :D

If there where parts stopping you from fast tracking then that would suggest to me that them parts where not in stock so they would have to order them or wait for them to be back in stock.

Good point. I would call pcs and ask if there are any parts out of stock and how long they expect them to be.

wouldnt need to call them tbh it aint guna change anything apart from either annoy you or relieve you. your order will be updated as soon as they start the build and that will cheer you up so wait for that lol.

if there is/was a problem getting the parts they would surely contact you to tell you to either change the part or suffer a prolonged wait. but as they havent im guessing they just dont stock some items until they are needed and they will be awaiting delivery of the parts you have ordered.

Is this the part where I say "I told you so"? :p

...and there you were worried I'd unbox your PC when it 'arrived' this weekend ;)

Tbh, you've gone your entire life without a decent PC, I'm sure you can wait a couple of weeks :balloon:
