Anyone know any good RPGs or MMOs (with decent graphics)?

I've ordered my laptop from pcs, and it is only on the 5th working day but I'm preparing a list of games I want to play once it's here and my exams are done. I love my RPGs, and I planned to play some ESO with a friend who's already been playing for a while and I was looking into other MMOs I might want to test out. I've heard Rift is good and Black Desert looks awesome though it isn't out yet. I've also heard FFXIV is pretty good, but I can't really stand the JRPG fighting system so I don't know if I'd like it. Any ideas? :helpsmilie:

EDIT: actually, any other single-player RPGs in general would be great too. I need to stuff most of it into this summer before uni work. >.>

I've recently been involved in the Wildstar Betas and release is tomorrow.....I've moved off Eve, EQ and WoW and going to solely play Wildstar....it is simply Epic. And it is Epically hard :)

Checkout the videos - well worth the watch :)

Guild Wars 2 is by far the best mmo out there atm in my opinion, having played most of them. Combat/exploration/value for money is all way above the competition. Also there are new living story updates regularly and other events. The pvp and wvw is also great once you are used to the builds etc. Give it a go, I dont think you will be disappointed.

Rift is pretty good but the combat is your basic tab targetting model. Despite that it is also very decent, with a lot of scope for different builds and play styles etc. Archaege looks great; some good ideas, but not too sure about their model of being a founder being worth the money as yet. Will wait and see. As you mentioned, Black Desert also looks promising.... but no guarantee on a release for that for a while yet. :D

ESO was disappointing, and although Wildstar looks quite good, the monthly fee is a massive turn off when you get such a lot of game with Guild wars 2.

Thanks, I'll be sure to watch some videos for it and see what the general view is after release. Hopefully it's not too hard for an MMO beginner to learn! :p

Did actually stumble across the Angry Joe review for GW2 awhile ago and it looked pretty amazing. No subscription is also damn appealing seeing as I currently lack a job, so I think I might definitely check that out. Didn't realise Rift used tab-targetting, but I might just give it a quick go anyway seeing as it's free-to-play, and I'll check out the next Archeage beta too. We'll just have to keep our fingers crossed that Black Desert comes out soon! ^_^ Yeah, I definitely know ESO didn't live up to the hype, but I managed to enjoy the beta a bit so I'm gonna give it another chance to grow on me. If it doesn't, then eh, I'll just go back to Skyrim and its mods. ;)
