Auto-HDR question

This may be a somewhat dumb question, but with a monitor that only supports 10 bits on 120 hz (it's the AW3821DW), do I have to specify this refresh rate and colour setting via the Nvidia control setting for auto-HDR on Windows 11 to work to its full potential? Or does it handle this by itself?

HDR on windows is pretty drastically bad, it's fine within games, but generally poor within the desktop and other programs.

You shouldn't need to change anything to get Windows HDR turned on, it just detects it's an HDR monitor through the driver for the monitor.

Make sure you have the proper driver installed: https://www.dell.com/support/home/en-uk/product-support/product/dell-aw3821dw-monitor/drivers

Sorry, there is a setting in windows settings to enable hdr, I meant aside from that and having the correct display driver, you shouldn't need to change anything.
