Average RMA times

Hi guys, unfortunately my pc specialist desktop has become poorly again. (Suspected motherboard failure). Was just wondering if anyone here could give me an estimate as to roughly how long the RMA process is taking at the moment. Last time it was just under three weeks to be returned to me. At the moment we're approaching three weeks without having been looked at! I'm not having a moan. But would really appreciate some re-assurance as I am getting concerned. Thanks a lot.

I am not sure if the RMA department is one big team or if its different for laptops and PC's.

That being said i got mine back 3 weeks after they received it. I seem to remember it going from checked to rectified all in one day. It seemed like they took the laptop worked through all the stages then updated the system afterwards.

Hopefully you wont be waiting much longer.

It really is a how long is a piece of string. The RMA process takes an amount of time then there is the potential for the replacement component (if one is needed) not being available etc. etc. I appreciate however with no email back its not helpful for you.

I would like to say between 3-4 weeks would be about right but I've no recent personal experience. I can imagine currently everyone in PCS is (as everyone else currently) under a lot of stress at the moment (increased, or at least 'the same' workload with potentially fewer people/more difficult working environment) - whether that is a good enough reason is probably a separate discussion.

If you would like an update on your current status its best to ask PCS directly, from what I've seen here recently the live chat is faster to get a hold of them although I'm not certain if the guys running the live chat are currently linked to the folk in the RMA team/department.

I spoke to the online chat a couple of weeks ago and they could give me the update from the system but when i requested more information they were unable to do it as they are only supposed to be there for pre sale support.

Ah OK, thanks for the update, I couldn't remember if I'd read this elsewhere recently. Guess phoning is the best bet, sadly it may mean a longer wait than normal.
