Hi there, I bought my gaming PC from here a while ago and was very impressed with PCS. So when my parents asked me to find them a new PC for their home use, my first thought was to come here. As most of my (limited) PC knowledge is based around gaming stuff, I just wanted to run a spec by this very helpful forum in case I have made any glaring errors.
They just need a basic system for email, web browsing & banking, watching DVD movies & downloaded TV shows, streaming BT Sport, storing digital photos etc etc.
As it is replacing an old and painfully slow laptop, one of the main requirements from them is that it be "fast" (ie they are VERY impatient with computers and want everything to happen instantly with no "busy" icons) which is why I've opted for an SSD for the os and a separate data drive. The wireless card is because it may not be near the router (homeplugs are not possible - old house, crap wiring).
