So when my pc starts up, i get one long beep and 3 in quick beeps. after some digging found out that my Motherboard (ROG strix x299-e gaming 2) its bios version l is AMI and those beeps are linked to RAM.
Checked the motherboard manual and it said recommended set up for two sticks of ram on x core processors above 6 core was to place them in slots A1 and C1. Mine were originally in C1 and D1. Have replaced them and the sound the beeps didn't occur on start-up this time.
Since I'm not the most technically gifted when it comes to PCs, is there anything else I should do?. and was my diagnosis of the problem even right to begin with.
cheers
