Best 2k or 4k ( 1440p) monitor for a rtx 3070/3080? @ 240hz

At 1440p 240Hz there are 2 main options:
The Samsung G7 is an option but has quite a severe curve which puts a lot of people off.
The HP Omen 27 is a very appealing option and has impressive reviews.
The problem is budget: 240Hz 1440p monitors are over £500, 4k 144Hz (there's no such thing as 4k 240Hz) are over £800

If you keep an eye out for them in the Black Friday sales, you may well find either of those nearer the £350 mark come to think of it, had completely forgotten that’s coming up!

My view is some buyers will go for 240hz and rest will go for superior image quality and go FALD, HDR route.

It’s full array local dimming, sort of new backlight tech.
it’s pricey at moment but once starts hitting main stream high hdr with FALD will be best screens to go for.

If they can fix the halo-ing enough.
HDR... now that’s a bag of worms lol.
I would say for high HDR yes.
However so many screens carry the HDR label and are not hdr (false hdr) or are really low.

Lol yes but it depends on how important price is (relative etc).

Yeah, that’s very true. Hardware unboxed do really thorough testing on array dimming and more often than not, unless it’s a full HDR10 screen, it turns out that they don’t actually meet the stated HDR rating.
I do hope they tighten up on that.
