This is a really good roundup of the strongest monitors so far this year.

Really good to see the Samsung OLED G8 on the list, seeing that Ultrawide is more permeating into the market at the high end.

It speaks volumes about how Samsung have came on really. They always had pretty looking displays/panels but they weren't always the best performing. A lot of the "pretty" came from oversaturated colour pop. They've clearly upped their game in recent years :)

Absolutely, properly hitting the high end.

While the original G9 is still a great monitor, it was really mid range with a VA panel aside from the unusual aspect ratio. The Neo's brought them slightly higher but still VA

But now with full on OLED, they're obviously keeping standards up with the best of them. And they're still competitive on price point really, certainly compared with the Alienwares at the same level.

End of year review/scoring of monitors by MonitorsUnboxed...

There are some crazy deals on monitors across the board atm it’s a really good time to buy, although bear in mind CES starts on 9th Jan and it’s expected they’ll be heavily pushing the new OLED 2 format which is supposed to control burn in far better which is really the only downside of OLED. Expect prices to be high though for these!

But I was looking at some of the current high end OLEDs this morning, the Samsung G8 OLED for instance is down to just over £900 on Amazon which is an absolute steal IMHO

...and MU's current gaming favourite is the G8 OLED over the Alienware.

I notice that just like me they're still waiting for a £1000/$1000 32" 16:9 4K OLED - or a slightly larger 21:9 OLED (38/40" for a bit of extra verticality).

Looks like our prayers have been answered (according to a leak)...as HP will announce the new HP OMEN 32" OLED 240Hz monitor at CES.

came across this, not sure if this is the right thread for it but didnt think it was worth starting a new thread

Blimey, that's absolutely crazy IMHO on monitors that are cutting edge and I can't see any of them being sub £600, that's quite a gamble!

May be worth adding to the MSI post, I'll find a link https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/forums/threads/cheap-4k-240hz-oled-msi-mpg321urx.96465/
