the laptop came with blu ray software. When the disc auto runs it starts to install then says "this software can only be installed with a optiarc device. the setup will abort."
when i try to explore the cd and install individual programs it says "application error"


Anybody got sny tips or suggestions.

Yes, give us a call so we can send the correct disc out to you. It looks like the incorrect disc was sent in error.

Cheers for the tips.
I tried several versions of powderdvd 8 & 9 last night but the trials must have expired and the only way to use them would have been with a crack.
Went to the official site and d/l the 30 day trial of powerdvd 11 (if I had started there 1st I'd have probably saved 3 hrs). Installed and ran perfectly.
Called pcspecsh tech help today and a new disc is being posted out this afternoon.
