Hi.

With a max budget of £800, how would this perform as a gaming PC? Are there any changes you would make as I haven't really got the knowledge when it comes to Specs!

I'll be playing steam games like Cities Skylines, The Forest, Euro Truck Sim etc...

I have to have a monitor and I would prefer wireless over homeplugs because I don't understand how they work to be honest!

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

Looks good, I would suggest a 550w psu to have more room for upgrades and do a bit of research on homeplugs. I keep getting problems with wireless cards losing connection or being slow, homeplugs are easy to set up (takes less than 2 minutes) and provides a more reliable connection. You would need 2 though.

It should be pretty good. You won't be able to max every game but most games should run very well at respectable settings. I would go for a 550W power supply though. A GTX 970 could make this a quite high end system if you were willing to extend your budget.

Thanks guys, The Homeplugs and PSU upgrade is stretching my budget so a gtx970 may be a bit too much unfortunately.

Could you advise on the difference between the Asus motherboard in my build and the Gigabyte alternative? They're both the same price so I wondered if there are any advantages over the other?

Not too much difference. From what I can see, the Asus one will give you better audio and Ethernet and more USB ports.
